Today it is raining in South Africa. As I am sitting in my office and looking out the window, it is all misty and rainy outside. I just love this kind of weather and this reminds me of a Scripture in Hosea 6:3 that reads: “ Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know Him. He will respond to us surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.”
After having days of warm weather, earth is enjoying the rain. It seems as if my plants in the garden are coming alive and rejoicing with the outpouring of rain. I also seem to feel refreshed. Now the Bible talks about Him coming to us like rain. Many of us might feel dull, half dead, without any energy, stagnated, and the list can go on and on. We as the Church of God need His rain. We must again know Him in the fullness of His power. We should know Him in His glory revealed to us. As a church we need to be re¬-¬energized and revitalized. Let us press on to KNOW Him like this. Allow Him to come to us like the rain in early spring. Be desperate and determined not to miss it but as an open flower to receive this rain poured out upon us in an overflow. Then we will have greater influence and greater impact to take over cities and nations for God.
